As mentioned on my social medal platforms (you can find links at the bottom of this page), I was filmed by the BBC yesterday morning.
In an interview broadcast to the whole East of England which promoted the latest Versus Arthritis campaign that I have been involved in, we also talked about life in lockdown as a shielded person and the challenges those with chronic illness face at the moment with regards to limited medical support and parenting/childcare issues.
I was really pleased with how it came out. I think my son stole the show somewhat but we still managed to get the message out. 🙂

It’s been a busy couple of weeks with campaigning and I’d be lying if I said my health hasn’t suffered a little but it’s been great to spread our message on so many platforms.
I’m going to spend the rest of this week replying to all the lovely messages I’ve recieved (from all around the world, unbelievably!) and taking a bit of a breather, so apologies if new content is a little thin on the ground. It feels like a time when I should be putting everything in to content that will keep all you lovely people who recently discovered my work coming back for more. However, my health has to come first and I trust you’ll stick around over the next week or two and enjoy some of the articles I have already published or pre-scheduled to go out.
May I recommend a couple:
Recently, I interviewed Nanci Saad of My Autoimmune Adventures. I have been following Nanci’s Facebook blog for a number of months and she has also been a great supporter of my work.
This is her incredible story of managing multiple autoimmune conditions.
Thursday 19th March, a day that will long live with me. I was walking my dog on a grey, chilly morning. Still carrying the limp on my right leg from the pain which had kept me off work the last four weeks; I received a phone call. It was my rheumatology nurse and the message […]
I need your help
Finally, I can’t do this without the support of you all and now our numbers have swelled considerably, I need your help. If you know of any other platforms I can share my story and raise awareness of arthritis on, please let me know.
Also, let me know what you enjoy and what you’d like to see more of. I’ve had so many kind messages encouraging me to keep up my efforts on speaking out but it would be great to know what articles you like. Based on comments and likes, my story is always popular but I know others enjoy the interviews and stories from others. Some have asked me to do more series like the mental health one.
So either via the comments or email to me, let me know what you enjoy and want to see more of on this site so I can keep improving. 🙂
Thanks for all of your support.
