As you’ve probably noticed, things have become a little crazy around here. What started off as a simple personal blog in November 2019, quickly snowballed.

I have spent most of May and June doing interviews, national radio campaigns, TV work and writing for other organisations etc. which is great and exactly the platforms we need to raise awareness of life with arthritis. However, it comes at a cost. That commitment, combined with my own personal health issues during the pandemic has meant that content on this website has dried up a little.

At a time when I should have been reporting on the latest shielding guidance, providing resources and supporting my dedicated readers during this difficult time with articles on current affairs, I wasn’t able to split my time as much as I would have done. For that, I sincerely apologise.

Branching out

The website is my baby but I have to make the most of these opportunities and unexpected momentum to raise awareness whilst I can. After all, it was the whole reason I started blogging and writing – to tell my story.

I am juggling work, family and far from ideal health alongside trying to answer tens of messages each week on various platforms, run a mailing list, support group, doing interviews and providing soundbites for a range of organisations. It doesn’t leave much time for the actual writing part! Which, sadly, is what I enjoy the most.

So after a lot of thinking, the most sensible solution I can think of is to let other people in on this journey. This runaway train, before I’m yesterday’s news.

I will continue to write ‘my story’ (still the most popular articles on the site, thankfully! :D) and topical pieces when I can but I am looking for contributors to maintain a steady flow of fresh content on the site for your enjoyment.

Get involved

  • If you are passionate about raising awareness for arthritis
  • Live with arthritis, another autoimmune disease or have experience with it (i.e. supporting a family member or a medical background)
  • Have a passion for writing (experience not necessary)
  • And would be interested in writing articles for

Then email me today at:

I am looking for people to write articles on current affairs and how they impact those with autoimmune conditions, articles of your experience living with arthritis, support and resources pieces, ‘top lists’ and advice/suggestions for how you cope and articles on managing mental health and chronic illness.

Articles would need to be between 300 – 800 words (although exceptions can be made) and please note that is a not-for-profit site, therefore we cannot pay for guest posts but you will get notable exposure, with the article being shared on all of our platforms with links to the author and their social media accounts in the post.

So whether you want greater exposure by having your article published on this site or you’d like to be part of a growing community that is making their voice heard in the awareness and support of those living with arthritis and other autoimmune conditions, then get in touch today.
